A Human Named David was born in New York City in 1988 and received his bachelors degree in music and theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. This is where he met his mentor Elizabeth Swados who helped craft his songwriting and performing abilities. Under the mentorship of Ms. Swados, David has performed his original music at Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, The Beacon Theater, and Yankee Stadium.
Then, there came a point in life where A Human Named David dyed his hair blonde and wanted to be a pop star. He worked closely crafting pop music with some of the top names in the music industry including Roy Hamilton III (Micheal Jackson, Britney Spears, and Mariah Carey), Teddy Riley (Michael Jackson, Blackstreet), and BattleRoy (Eminem and Demi Lovato). This is the period when A Human Named David began to teach himself piano.
Ultimately, David realized that he didn’t want to be a pop star at all. He got into his Grandpa’s 4Runner and drove from NYC to Boulder, Colorado looking for inspiration to write his first album. Having landed in Longmont, CO, he found enough peace and quiet to write, record, produce, and distribute his first project titled “An Album Titled Love.” It can be found on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Soundcloud.
A Human Named David has dreams and visions of making it back home to Madison Square Garden in order to share the message of inner peace and acceptance of self on a large scale. Those are the lessons he learned on the road. Those are the lessons he shares through his music.
You will hear it purely.
